Homeowners who offer short-term (tourism-purpose) rentals are legally required to register with certain official systems.
These registrations are mandatory for both security and financial compliance purposes.

1. Police Registration – Identity Notification System (INS)

Homeowners offering short-term rentals are required to report guest information to the system of the General Directorate of Security.

For this purpose, the homeowner must:

  • Register with the Identity Notification System (KBS)

  • Report guest check-in and check-out information through the system

This obligation applies to all accommodation providers and also covers short-term rentals.

2. Tax Office Registration

Short-term rental activities may be considered commercial income. Therefore:

  • The homeowner may be required to register as a taxpayer

  • Rental income must be declared accordingly

Since tax obligations may vary depending on individual circumstances, it is recommended to consult a certified public accountant or financial advisor.

3. Do I Have to Handle These Processes Myself?

Homeowners may choose to complete all registration processes individually and independently.

However, upon request:

  • These processes can be coordinated through Kozy Holiday

If the homeowner prefers, the following steps can be managed under Kozy Holiday’s coordination:

  • ✔ Police (KBS) registration process

  • ✔ Tax registration and related guidance

  • ✔ Required official application steps

In such cases, the process is planned according to the scope of service and power of attorney provided.

⚠️ Important Notice

Engaging in short-term rental activities without completing these official registrations may result in administrative penalties.

Kozy Holiday informs homeowners about these legal obligations and, upon request, provides process management and coordination support.
